Abstract

En décadas recientes, la investigación cualitativa, así como el enfoque participativo han gozado de un creciente interés en las comunidades científicas, pero también entre distintos sectores interesados por el trabajo directo, cercano y consensuado, con y hacia ciertos grupos sociales (Colaboración Internacional por la Investigación Participativa en Salud [icphr, por sus siglas en inglés], 2013; Tarrés, 2004). Sin embargo, el foco de la discusión y el contenido de fondo radican en determinar si la investigación cualitativa participativa se refiere en forma restringida o limitativa al diseño, uso y dominio de ciertas técnicas (un saber técnico); o bien, se trata de un paradigma diferente para aprehender la realidad e incidir en su transformación de la mano de los sujetos participantes (icphr, 2013). La presente obra se adhiere a esta última idea tomando en cuenta que la transformación puede dirigirse tanto a las nuevas generaciones de estudiantes y académicos, como a distintos sectores sociales que inspiran sus proyectos en las causas de fondo, la acción y el empoderamiento.
