Formulasi Body Scrub Sari Ubi Jalar Ungu Dan Beras Ketan

Abstract

Penelitian tentang formulasi body scrub dari sari ubi jalar ungu sebagai bahan pembuatan body scrub dengan penambahan scrubber beras ketan putih. Body scrub adalah sediaan farmasi berupa produk kecantikan yang berfungsi untuk menghaluskan kulit tubuh dan mengangkat sel-sel kulit rusak dengan bantuan bahan scrub. Ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas L.) varietas ayamurasaki banyak mengandung zat warna, terutama pigmen antosianin yang merupakan antioksidan alami yang dapat mencegah penyakit kanker, jantung, tekanan darah tinggi, dan bahkan dapat menghaluskan kulit. Pembuatan sari ubi jalar ungu dilakukan dengan cara pengupasan kulit ubi jalar ungu, setelah itu dibersihkan dan dihaluskan dan diperas ubinya sampai menjadi sari. Penelitian ini sudah pernah dilakukan sebelumnya, yang belum pernah dilakukan yaitu tentang pengaruh waktu pengadukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan sari ubi jalar ungu untuk pembuatan body scrub dengan konsentrasi sari ubi jalar ungu 40 gram, 50 gram, dan 60 gram sedangkan konsentrasi granul beras ketan 60 gram, 50 gram, dan 40 gram. Pengujian sediaan ini meliputi uji organoleptik. Uji pH, uji tipe emulsi, uji daya sebar, dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sediaan yang memenuhi evaluasi fisik dan daya sebar adalah dengan perbandingan konsentrasi sari ubi jalar ungu dan granul beras ketan 60 : 40 gram, 50 : 40 gram, dan 60 : 50 gram dengan tekstur semi padat, berwarna coklat dan berbau khas. Hasil uji tipe emulsi menunjukkan bahwa body scrub itu termasuk minyak dalam air dan untuk uji homogenitas body scrub itu homogen.
