El Riesgo Relativo, también descrito como tasa de riesgo o índice de riesgo, es una medida que cuantifica el efecto de una exposición en términos relativos. En epidemiología y estadística, la relación de dos tasas de incidencia corresponde a una relación de riesgo. El Riesgo Relativo no proporciona ninguna información sobre el riesgo absoluto de que ocurra un evento o desenlace de interés. El valor del Riesgo Relativo puede tomar cualquier valor entre cero e infinito.
