EVALUASI MUTU FISIK TABLET HISAP EKSTRAK DAUN KETEPENG CINA (CASSIA ALATA L.) DENGAN BAHAN PENGIKAT CMC–NA

Abstract

Ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman obat yang dilaporkan memiliki aktivitas antimikroba dan berkhasiat imunomodulator karena adanya flavonoid yang terkandung didalamnya. Dalam pembuatan tablet hisap selain bahan pengisi juga diperlukan bahan pengikat, yang berfungsi untuk menyatukan partikel bahan lain menjadi granul dan dapat meningkatkan kompaktibilitas serta kekerasan tablet. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi sifat fisik tablet hisap ekstrak daun ketepeng cina, menggunakan pengisi manitol dan pengikat CMC-Na. Pembuatan tablet hisap ekstrak daun ketepeng cina dengan kadar CMC-Na 1%, 2%, dan 3% dilakukan dengan metode granulasi basah. Hasil analisis statistik one way anova dengan program SPSS pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%, dilanjutkan dengan Tukey HSD untuk menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna pada mutu fisik tablet dari masing-masing formula terhadap peningkatan kadar bahan pengikat CMC-Na. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi kadar pengikat CMC-Na memiliki pengaruh terhadap mutu fisik tablet hisap ekstrak daun ketepeng cina.
