Celiorrafia com sutura simples separada versus sutura simples contínua: estudo comparativo

Abstract

A maioria dos procedimentos cirúrgicos realizados na clínica cirúrgica de pequenos animais tem como sede a cavidade abdominal, sendo a incisão mediana ventral o acesso cirúrgico mais realizado. As hérnias incisionais e as eviscerações são complicações frequentes, diretamente relacionadas à celiorrafia. Padrões de sutura separados ou contínuos podem ser empregados para a celiorrafia, com uso de fios absorvíveis ou inabsorvíveis. Contudo, cada método ou material apresenta vantagens e desvantagens na dependência das características de cada paciente. Neste sentido, buscou-se avaliar o emprego do padrão de sutura simples separado (Grupo1) e do simples contínuo (Grupo 2) na celiorrafia de14 gatas, submetidas à ováriohisterectomia (OH) eletiva, empregando-se o categute cromado como fio padrão. As análises trans e pós-operatórias, relacionadas à síntese, ao tempo cirúrgico e aos aspectos da ferida cirúrgica permitiram concluir que ambos os padrões de sutura prestam-se para a celiorrafia em felinos, porém o padrão simples contínuo apresentou vantagens em relação ao padrão simples separado. Sua execução ininterrupta e a menor quantidade de fio de sutura depositado no organismo favoreceram o tempo cirúrgico total e, do ponto de vista macroscópico, o processo inflamatório cicatricial.
