William Makepeace Thackeray’in 1846 tarihli Notes on a Journey from Cornhill to Grand Cairo kesfin turizmle (ve turizm karsitligiyla) birlikte yer aldigi on dokuzuncu yuzyil seyahat yazilarinin karmasikligina ornek teskil eder.
