Pensamiento decolonial, relativismo cultural e injusticia epistémica

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es analizar la acusación de relativismo hecha al pensamiento decolonial y sus consecuencias negativas, a saber: la incoherencia de dicho pensamiento y la correspondiente ineficacia crítica en contra del colonialismo eurocéntrico. Argumentaré que el pensamiento decolonial necesita reevaluar su compromiso con Foucault en lo tocante a la noción de verdad como poder, mediante la adopción de un concepto de verdad entendida como acuerdo intersubjetivo inspirado en Davidson. Igualmente sostendré que las pretensiones decolonizadoras del saber pueden ser entendidas como el anhelo de que no exista injusticia epistémica. Finalmente abordaré la cuestión que plantea el hecho de que algunas injusticias epistémicas no siempre son el resultado de acciones intencionales de los agentes y su impacto en la responsabilidad moral.
