Mercado: oportunidades no mercado internacional para empresas brasileiras no segmento de moda

Abstract

O mercado de moda internacional é dominado há muitos anos por grandes grupos franceses, italianos, ingleses e, recentemente, também americanos. Num mercado extremamente competitivo, que exige altos recursos financeiros, são escassas as oportunidades para as empresas brasileiras, pequenas em dimensão e em capacidade de investimento. Para implantação de uma nova marca (imagem e conceito) ou para a abertura de lojas na Europa e nos Estados Unidos (principais mercados consumidores), os custos de investimento são elevadíssimos para as empresas nacionais. Esse mercado movimenta bilhões de dólares a cada ano e representa para países como Itália e França um enorme volume interno de vendas e uma grande fonte de exportação. No ano 2002, segundo levantamento da ABIT − Associação Brasileira da Industria Têxtil −, o valor exportado pelo Brasil em toda a sua cadeia têxtil foi de US$ 1,420 bilhão. Nesse mesmo ano, somente a marca italiana Prada faturou US$ 1,310 bilhão com vendas de bolsas, sapatos, confecção, perfumaria e cosméticos. Diante das dificuldades deinserção do mercado de moda mundial, podemos identificar duas oportunidades para as empresas brasileiras que buscam a exportação: o produto biquíni (artigos de Moda Praia, ou Beach Life Style) e produtos diferenciados, com trabalhos artesanais e/ou peças com edição limitada (...)
