A Moda e a Teoria Queer

Abstract

A premissa deste trabalho é a moda e o corpo como locais de conflito, onde resistência e normatividade podem coexistir, pela abordagem de Michel Foucault. A pesquisa se propôs a realizar uma discussão conceitual sobre o fenômeno da moda a partir de conceitos da teoria queer e de como estes se materializam por meio de artefatos, a partir da análise de imagens de peças-ícone de moda unissex e de looks de marcas consagradas no mercado de moda de gênero neutro. Para compreender como se constituem as representações de gênero e normatividade, foi necessário estudar o conceito de moda unissex e moda de gênero neutro (ou fluido), utilizando autores da teoria queer, como Judith Butler e Paul Beatriz Preciado. Para falar da moda como um fenômeno social, foi utilizado o olhar contemporâneo de Gilles Lipovetsky. Ao fim, constatamos ser possível desenvolver coleções de moda que facilitem a emergência de novos sujeitos sem optar pela abolição do gênero, e sim pela inclusão daqueles que historicamente foram estranhados, ridicularizados, marginalizados.
