Las madres adolescentes del Perú y su educación

Abstract

Aborda una de las problemáticas que incide en la desigualdad de género que actualmente enfrenta nuestro país, el alto índice de madres adolescentes que no continúan con su educación básica. En el Perú 9 de cada 10 madres no continúan con sus estudios, lo cual limita sus oportunidades y afecta su calidad de vida y la de sus hijos. La región de la selva presenta los índices más altos de embarazo adolescente, sin embargo, el distrito que a nivel nacional tiene la tasa más alta de recién nacidos en menores de 15 años es San Juan de Lurigancho, ubicado en Lima. Por ello, se ha escogido a San Juan de Lurigancho como zona de intervención en el que se desarrollará una estrategia de comunicación desde la perspectiva de la ONG Grupo Vida. Grupo Vida empodera a madres adolescentes a través de un programa de capacitaciones, brindándoles las herramientas necesarias para enfrentarse al mundo laboral. Por lo tanto, se desarrollará una estrategia a partir del cual Grupo Vida impulsará a que estas madres continúen con su educación y que de manera paralela adquieran un conocimiento técnico que les permita en un futuro poder generar sus propios ingresos.
