Abstract

saat ini. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakuan untuk menjaga keamanan data adalah dengan menggunakan ilmu kriptografi. Untuk tujuan yang khusus, implementasi kriptografi pada perangkat keras memberikan kelebihan dalam hal kecepatan dan penghematan sumber daya. Salah satu perangkat keras yang mendukung hal tersebut adalah FPGA. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan implementasi algoritma kriptografi berbasis FPGA menggunakan Altera UP2 Education Kit. Rancangan sistem dibuat dengan menggunakan bahasa VHDL. Sistem ini dapat melakukan proses enkripsi-dekripsi. Proses enkripsi-dekripsi dilakukan dengan memasukan data pada sistem menggunakan switch pada Altera UP2 Education Kit. Input dan output sistem ditampilkan dengan menggunakan seven segment. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sistem dapat melakukan proses enkripsi-dekripsi data dengan ukuran data 8 bit. Kata Kunci: Keamanan Data, Kriptografi, Vernam Cipher, FPGA, VHDL
