Project management remains one of the most crucial endeavours to the successful delivery of organization activities. However, the increased complexities of projects and their development efforts and costs make them tough to control without formal practices. Thus, the understanding and adoption of project management processes can allow companies to maximize the project's value to the organization through the correct requirements that generate the correct product in order to meet the customer's needs preciously and the inclusion of necessary features that reduce the costs. Indeed, visual modelling of the processes can further help to document and comprehend complexity. The PMBOK Guide is now considered to be one of the most essential tools in the profession that encapsulates all the project management concepts in a de facto global standard for the industry. This thesis presents a UML model of the project management processes that the PMBOK Guide introduces. The model provides ways of expressing the processes in terms of business activities and collaborative behaviour.
