Neo-Eurasianism and Eurasian integration

Neo-Eurasianism and Eurasian integration

Abstract

This article examines the main ideas of Neo-Eurasianism and describes the main theories of Alexander Dugin from the ideological and geopolitical point of view. These theories are an extension of the theories of Neo-Eurasianism and guide the direction of the development of the Russian state strategy. As the ideological basis of the Eurasian integration process, Neo-Eurasianism has greatly contributed to the Russian-led political and economic integration of the Eurasian region and has had a strong influence on its development. The author analyses the main instruments of Russian-led Eurasian integration - the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union and the Greater Eurasia Project. These are important tools for Russia to become a pole in a multipolar world and the best path for Russia's current development in the face of confrontation with the West.
