Terminologische Untersuchung zum Thema Sexualdelikte für das Sprachenpaar Deutsch-Türkisch

Abstract

The thesis deals with the compilation of a bilingual glossary on the specialised terminology of sexual criminal law in Austria and Türkiye. The aim was to systematically collect, analyse and compare relevant terms from both legal systems. Gaps in terminology were also identified, which can be attributed to the different legal structures of the two countries. In a few cases where there were no direct equivalents in the target language, suggestions were made for a translation. Despite the differences, suitable equivalents were found for most of the terms. The glossary provides a valuable basis for translators, interpreters and all interested parties and offers the opportunity to accurately translate specialised terminology into the other language. Overall, the intended goal of the work was successfully realised.
