Abstract

Die Arbeit hat das Ziel, mit Hilfe ausgewählter Werke der englischsprachigen Jugendliteratur, LGBT- (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) Themen in einer modernen, offenen, nicht von heteronormativen Standpunkten ausgehenden Art in die Klassenzimmer, bzw. den Englischunterricht der Oberstufe, zu bringen. Der erste, theoretische Teil umfasst einen Überblick der bestehenden Forschung in den Bereichen Feminismus, Queer Theory, und Fachdidaktik. Die Eingliederung des Themenkreises in den österreichischen Lehrplan der AHS Oberstufe, sowie Strategien einer LGBT-inklusiven Unterrichtsgestaltung werden erarbeitet. Hinzu kommt ein praktischer Teil, der alle nötigen Materialen für ein Literaturprojekt zum Thema Gender und LGBT beinhaltet. Darunter befinden sich Stundenvorbereitungen, Lesetagebücher, und Handouts. In Anlehnung an Bruner's Discovery Approach sollen SchülerInnen mit Hilfe der Bücher und den Arbeitsmaterialien, d.h. auch durch geschickt gestellte, teils provokative Fragen, den Zugang zu LGBT- und Gender-Themen selbst erarbeiten.
