Abstract

Das Thema Populismus spielt seit vielen Jahren eine wichtige Rolle. Im Mittelpunkt der Diskussion stehen vor allem die mit dem Etikett als populistisch versehenen Parteien, welche sich in Europa etabliert haben. Sei es durch ihre beachtlichen Wahlerfolge, durch ihre gewachsenen Stimmenanteile oder als wichtige, ernstzunehmende und aktive politische Akteure. Im politikwissenschaftlichen Kontext beherrscht das Phänomen des Rechtspopulismus bereits seit Mitte der 1980er Jahre die politische Arena. Parteien wie FPÖ und SVP stehen hier im Mittelpunkt der Populismusforschung. Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Nationalratswahl der FPÖ 2006 und der Nationalratswahl der SVP 2007. Es sollen die Strategien der Wahlkämpfe dieser beiden Parteien verglichen werden. Analysiert werden sollen sowohl Parallelen als auch Kontroversen dieser beiden Parteien.
