Abstract

Ziel dieser Arbeit war die Entwicklung eines auf einem organischen Trägermaterial basierenden Ziegler-Natta-Katalysatorsystems, welches die erforderliche Fragmentierbarkeit in möglichst kleine Fragmente aufweist. Hierfür sah das Konzept dieser Arbeit eine direkte Bildung der aktiven Zentren auf fein dispergierten, Hydroxy-funktionalisierten Polystyrol-Nanopartikel vor. Durch anschließende Aggregation dieser Primärpartikel entstanden mikrometergroße Sekundärpartikel, die eine gleichmäßige und feine Verteilung an aktiven Zentren aufwiesen. Ziel war es, dass der durch das Polymerwachstum auftretende hydraulische Druck die physikalisch aggregierten Sekundärpartikel zurück in die ursprünglichen Primärpartikel fragmentieren lässt. Die so erhaltenen Katalysatorproben (nPS OH/ZN) wiesen eine katalytische Produktivität von bis zu 2000 gPE/gKAT·h auf. Das mittels nPS-OH/ZN erhaltene Polymer zeigte charakteristische Merkmale für hochmolekulares High-Density Polyethylen. Auffällig war vor allem die für Ziegler-Natta-Katalysatoren vergleichsweise niedrige Dispersität des erhaltenen Polyethylens (Ð = 3 – 8). Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass die Molekulargewichtsverteilung des erhaltenen Polyethylens mit steigendem Vernetzungsgrad des Trägermaterials breiter wird. Mittels Fluoreszenz-Konfokalmikroskopie unter Verwendung Fluoreszenzfarbstoff-markierter Trägerpartikel konnte zum ersten Mal für Polymer-basierte Ziegler-Natta-Katalysatoren eine gleichmäßige und sehr feine Fragmentierung des Trägermaterials nach dem multi-grain Model nachgewiesen werden.
