Students will explain the chemiosmotic theory in their own words and describe how electron movement in the Respiratory Chain is linked to ATP synthesis. They will then explore the function of a metabolic uncoupler like 2,4-Dinitrophenol and consider a case study where the subject of the story considers taking this dangerous chemical as a “quick fix” for weight loss.
