Reconhecimento de Veículos em ambientes externos através do processamento de imagens

Abstract

Esse projeto de pesquisa visa auxiliar o desenvolvimento de um sistema local de baixo custo, que independente das condicoes externas possa monitorar o fluxo de veiculos em cruzamentos. Utilizando- se de tecnicas de processamento digital de imagens, reconhecer veiculos e a partir disso, em situacoes de necessidade, tomar decisoes. Em uma abordagem simplificada, sao apresentados metodos compu- tacionais para deteccao de veiculos em ambientes urbanos. As solucoes nesse trabalho foram imple- mentadas com o VisualStudio C++ e utilizam a biblioteca OpenCV da Intel, para realizar o reconhe- cimento. Sao apresentadas solucoes para dois tipos de entradas: imagem e video. O resultado dos algoritmos encontrados para reconhecimento de automoveis em imagens se mostram mais acessiveis aos objetivos dessa pesquisa. No entanto tambem e proposta uma solucao utilizando um algoritmo de reconhecimento em videos.
