Metodologi Tafsir Ijmali: Studi Tafsir Al-Wajiz Dan Tafsir al-Lubab

Abstract

This research analyzes the use of ijmali tafsir methodology in Tafsir al-Wajiz by Wahbah al-Zuhaili and Tafsir al-Lubab by M. Quraish Shihab. The case study is surah Ya>sin in both commentaries. This literature study research uses descriptive-analytical and comparative methods. The results of the study found that the interpretation method used by Wahbah al-Zuhaili in tafsir al-Wajiz and Quraish Shihab in tafsir al-Lubab is the ijmali method. This refutes Ahsin Sakho Muhammad who states that Tafsir al-Wajiz and Tafsir al-Lubab are interpretations that use the tahlili method. Conversely, it strengthens the views of 'Abdal-Hayyal-Farmawi and Nashruddin Bai and states that the ijmali method is to explain the verses of the Qur'an in a concise manner with popular language, easy to understand and easy to read.
