O conceito patrimônio cultural é relativamente novo. A identificação do patrimônio cultural da cidade de São Paulo tem como instrumento de pesquisa um inventário que busca evidenciar bens tangíveis e intangíveis coletivamente importantes, com a preocupação de relacionar turismo e patrimônio.
