thermal ratchetting. Details of exhaustive material characterization done for the thrust chamber materials are highlighted. Cyclic life prediction of the inner wall is done using the cumulative damage accumulation technique. Allowable number of hot runs for the chamber is arrived at after employing suitable factor of safety for these individual damage modes. A new and simple method for design of the outer wall is also discussed here. Results are presented in tabular and graphical forms and conclusions drawn.
