Simulating Simulations to Lower Cost of Simulation Solutions

Abstract

Great engineering value is obtained using simulations in place o f systems before they are built or when the systems are unavailable. As systems have gotten more complicated, simulations have gotten more complicated. Now, many simulations are as (or more) complicated than the systems which inspired the use of simulati on in the first place. Why try to build these complicated systems (simulations) without the benefit of simulation?
