Abstract : Governing equations for nonlinear creep analysis of thin circular cylindrical shells are derived based upon a power law for creep. These equations are solved for a clamped shell subjected to uniform internal pressure. The method of solution is one of iteration where the starting solution is that for the linear case. Stress resultants and deflections are presented for various values of the parameters involved. (Author)
