Figure 3 shows how typical PLOT results are presented. For illustrative purposes, ROD is plotted as a function of normal countdown time, which is extended by the programmed hold. Gain in PLOT is plotted as a function of programmed hold-time; the gain is referenced to RCD for the normal countdown. Although the programmed hold is shown as a separate increment, it would be a part of the total countdown time. Functionally, the use of this hold would affect the probability of completion of the countdown as shown. The ordinate of the PLOT, actual curve peak indicates the optimized PLOT when secondary failure iteration effects are not evaluated. The abscissa associated with the peak indicates the optimized length of programmed hold that gives this probability. PLOT, iterated with secondary failure iteration yields somewhat greater optimized values of PLOT and programmed hold-time.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 3 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
