Morbimortalidad fetal por diabetes en la Clínica de Embarazo de Alto Riesgo del Hospital Universitario del Valle, Cali, Colombia

Abstract

En la Clínica de Embarazo de Alto Riesgo (Hospital Universitario del Valle, Cali, Colombia), se estudiaron 124 diabéticas embarazadas, cuya clasificación fue así: insulino-dependientes tipo I, 46 (37.1%); diabetes gestacional, 44 (35.5%); y diabetes química, 34 (27.4%). Para descubrir precozmente la entidad se identificaron varios factores de riesgo, como antecedentes familiares, macrosomía en embarazos previos, obesidad o aumento exagerado de peso, etc. La mortalidad perinatal fue de 5.6%, cifra menor que en años anteriores; se analizaron sus causas y se proponen algunas sugerencias para procurar disminuirla.
