
Los datos obtenidos en Cali indican que los niveles de plomo inferiores a 50µg/100ml de sangre pueden alterar la hemopoyesis y que la alteración aumenta la concentración de Pb. La distribución del plomo en la población laboral estudiada es máxima entre 26 y 50µg/100 ml de sangre. La plumbemia es más alta en quienes trabajan en la fabricación de tipos para imprenta. No se encontró correlación alguna entre la pumblemia y la edad o antigüedad de los obreros de la industria metalúrgica.
