Abstract

乾乳期間中の乳牛49頭(初産19頭,2産14頭,3産以上16頭)に対して,分娩前2ヵ月で削蹄を行い,以降1ヵ月間隔で4ヵ月間に渡り前・後肢蹄形状,蹄角質硬度および蹄球糜爛スコアを調査した.供試牛は乾乳期間中には屋外パドック,分娩後1週からはフリーストール牛舎で飼養されていた.また,削蹄直後と削蹄後4ヵ月では前・後肢内・外蹄荷重を計測した.削蹄後2ヵ月で後肢外蹄蹄踵高が有意(P<0.05)に増加,前・後肢内蹄蹄尖角度が有意(P<0.05)に減少し,削蹄後3~4ヵ月で外蹄に対する内蹄負面面積の割合は後肢では有意(P<0.05)に減少したが,前肢では有意な変化は認められなかった.削蹄後4ヵ月で外蹄に対する内蹄の荷重割合は後肢では有意(P<0.05)に減少し,前肢では有意(P<0.05)に増加した.前肢に比べて後肢の蹄角質硬度は有意(P<0.05)に低く,前・後肢蹄角質硬度はともにフリーストール牛舎導入後有意(P<0.05)に低下した.前肢に比べ後肢の蹄球糜爛スコアはフリーストール牛舎導入後有意(P<0.05)に高く,蹄球糜爛スコアは後肢でフリーストール牛舎導入後1~2ヵ月で有意(P<0.05)に増加し,前肢ではフリーストール牛舎導入後2ヵ月で有意(P<0.05)に増加した.乾乳前期に削蹄された乳牛は,フリーストール牛舎導入後1~2ヵ月での蹄球糜爛の悪化と内・外蹄形状変化に基づく内・外蹄荷重の不均衡によって蹄病が発生すると考えられた.
