Abstract

El Observatorio de Educación Médica y Derechos Humanos se creó hace cinco años, con la misión de investigar y promover los derechos humanos durante el proceso de formación de médicos generales y especialistas. A la fecha, se constata, por las recomendaciones que continúa emitiendo la Comisión Nacional de Derechos Humanos, que la problemática que dio origen al observatorio persiste. Sin embargo, se crean condiciones favorables al estudio y aplicación de la ética docente-asistencial, a través del recién formado Comité de Ética Docente-Asistencial de la Facultad de Medicina-Veracruz, de la Universidad Veracruzana. Adaptar la formación de médicos generales y especialistas en las unidades médicas a lineamientos éticos ayudará significativamente a resolver la problemática descrita.
