Abstract

La investigación se propone identificar variables que influyen en el rendimiento académico de alumnos de 11-12 años, sobre las cuales basar un diagnóstico individual de los alumnos y poder adoptar decisiones instruccionales que ayuden a mejorar dicho rendimiento. Se trata de construir un modelo teórico de relaciones causales entre las variables consideradas y evaluarlo mediante la técnica LISREL de análisis de ecuaciones estructurales. Por ajustes progresivos del modelo propuesto inicialmente, se propone un modelo final donde figuran las variables: Inteligencia General, Memoria, Hábitos de Estudio, Autoconcepto Académico, Comprensión Lectora y Resolución de Problemas. A destacar la consideración del Autoconcepto académico como mediador entre las Aptitudes, la Actitud y el Nivel Instrumental,- así como la influencia directa de la Capacidad en el Rendimiento en Matemáticas, en contraposición a la influencia directa de la Actitud en el Rendimiento Académico General.
