
IS A RATHER WIDESPREAD BELIEF among financial people (we even suspect that it may prevail among security analysts) that the farmers of the United States have made a sinister use of their political influence to obtain more than their share of the products of our national economy. This opinion naturally stems from the prominence given the Government's activities in supporting prices of farm products, and the very large supplies of surplus farm products that it has acquired as the result of these activities.
