Antidislocation as a Source of Earthquake

Abstract

地震発生に関与する応力場の起源を、くい違いの概念を基に検討し、反くい違いあるいは受動的くい違いの考え方が震源域の形成の理解に有用なことを提案する。これは地震発生が局所的な弾性歪み場に起因すると考えるものである。このような見方によって、震源域での地震発生前の応力集中や、すべり残し領域での余震発生などが自然に説明される。
