SUMMARY Transmammary passage of ascarid larvae was found in cats naturally and experimentally infected with Toxocara cati. Prenatal infection of ascarids could not be demonstrated in kittens from queens that were naturally and experimentally infected with T. cati. Kittens derived by cesarean section, raised in isolation, and fed an artificial ration were free of ascarids.
