Abstract

Marquês de Sade é um escritor francês libertino do início do Século XVIII cujas obras permeiam os estudos de Michel Foucault e Giorgio Agamben. Este estudo qualitativo, de cunho teórico, tem o objetivo de discutir de que maneira Sade aparece nas obras de Foucault e Agamben para compreender proximidades e singularidades sobre biopolítica em ambos os autores, considerando somente uma linha de continuidade entre Foucault e Agamben. Sade destaca-se na história e na literatura pelas suas notas eróticas, filosóficas e libertinas. Em Foucault, Sade percorre muitos de seus escritos, com diferentes inflexões e usos, de maneira mais ou menos relacionada às suas reflexões sobre biopolítica. Já em Agamben, a relação com a biopolítica é mais clara, tanto para explicitar seu conceito de vida nua, quanto para evidenciar o estado de exceção em que se vive. As considerações deste estudo indicam um caminho para pensar Sade no olhar de Michel Foucault e Giorgio Agamben como indício dos desdobramentos biopolíticos dos séculos XIX e XX.
