Sintesis Hidroksiapatit Berbahan Tulang Ikan Layar (Istiophorus Platypterus) Menggunakan Metode Presipitasi

Abstract

Tulang ikan layar merupakan salah satu limbah hayati laut yang berpotensi sebagai sumber hidroksiapatit untuk aplikasi biomedis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis hidroksiapatit berbahan tulang ikan layar melalui metode presipitasi dengan pengaruh variasi massa prekursor kalsium dan konsentrasi prekursor fosfat. Tulang ikan layar dikalsinasi pada suhu 900ºC selama 3 jam, kemudian direaksikan dengan (NH4)2HPO4. Larutan diatur pada pH 8 menggunakan NaOH, diendapkan selama 24 jam pada suhu kamar untuk menghasilkan endapan yang homogen, dicuci dengan akuades, dan disaring. Endapan kemudian dikeringkan pada suhu 100ºC selama 2 jam untuk menghasilkan hidroksiapatit. Karakterisasi FTIR menunjukkan keberadaan gugus PO43-, OH-, dan CO32- pada ketiga sampel. Sampel C memiliki intensitas absorpsi gugus PO43- dan OH- yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kedua sampel lainnya. Semakin tinggi intensitas absorpsinya, maka semakin banyak kandungan gugus PO43- dan OH-. Analisis XRD menunjukkan bahwa ketiga sampel memiliki fase hidroksiapatit yang dominan. Selain fase hidroksiapatit, terdapat juga fase apatit karbonat tipe A dan fase apatit karbonat tipe B. Sampel C memiliki rerata ukuran kristal terbesar, yakni 28,94 nm
