¿Rumbo a un comercio franquiciado? El rol de las marcas y sus formatos productivos en Argentina

Abstract

Las franquicias se posicionan cada vez mejor en la gestión de las relaciones comerciales en nuestro país. ¿Qué características presentan las marcas en nuestro país? ¿Qué factores incidieron en el crecimiento de este modelo entre 2015-2023? ¿Qué posibles efectos tiene la expansión del franchising en las condiciones de empleo? Recopilando datos de cámaras sectoriales y a través de un relevamiento territorial de establecimientos comerciales en tres ciudades clave del país acompañado de una serie de entrevistas semi estructuradas a trabajadores del sector, proponemos presentar rasgos básicos de las franquicias en Argentina desde la sociología laboral. En esa línea, se destaca la proliferación de “Mc Jobs”, de formatos mínimos de comercialización que priorizan la economía de escala y la presencia territorial por encima de las condiciones de empleo. Por último, planteamos algunos interrogantes y premisas para futuras indagaciones sobre un fenómeno de creciente relevancia en el comercio minorista.
