ANALISIS PENAMBAHAN BOTTON ASH TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN DAN KUAT BELAH BETON

Abstract

Beton merupakan salah satu bahan kontruksi yang telah banyak digunakan untuk bangunan gedung, jembatan, jalan, dan lain lain. Beton mempunyai peranan sangat penting untuk kontruksi karena mampu menahan gaya tekan dengan baik. Pemakaian beton sudah populer, pada perkembangannya beton dicampuri dengan beberapa bahan tambahan baik berupa bahan kimia maupun non kimia di antaranya, abu Ampas tebu (AAT), Fly Ash, Bottom Ash dan polimer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tambahan limbah batu bara (bottom ash) terhadap kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belah beton, dengan beberapa variasi tambahan. Pengambilan data atau pengujian sample dilakukan dilaboratorium Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro dengan metode SK SNI.T-15 -1990 – 03. Dari hasil penelitian yang sudah lakukan, penambahan bottom ash yang ideal adalah pada persentase 9% karena memiliki kuat tekan dan berat beton yang sesuai rencana. Kuat tekan maksimum yang dapat dicapai dari semua komposisi campuran yang digunakan terdapat pada penambahan bottom ash sebesar 9% pada umur 28. hari dengan nilai kuat tekan 292.144 kg/cm2. Penambahan bottom ash pada persentase 9 % selalu menghasilkan nilai kuat tekan lebih tinggi dari pada beton normal atau beton tanpa campuran.
