EFEK HEPATOPROTEKTIF MINYAK BUAH MERAH PADA SERUM TIKUS DENGAN AKTIFITAS FISIK MAKSIMAL

Abstract

Aktifitas fisik berat dapat mengakibatkan terjadi stress oksidatif yang berdampak kepada penurunan performance dan kesehatan atlet. Stres oksidatif dapat dicegah atau dikurangi dengan pemberian antioksidan. Salah satu sumber alami yang mengandung antioksidan adalah minyak buah merah (MBM). Sebagai antioksidan MBM diklaim mempunyai banyak khasiat tetapi semua efek ini masih perlu pembuktian secara ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian MBM terhadap kadar Serum Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (SGPT) dan serum glutamate piruvat transferase serum tikus pada aktifitas fisik maksimal. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian randomized control group postest only group design. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Farmakologi Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Sumatera Utara. Penelitian menggunakan 40 ekor tikus yang dibagi menjadi empat kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol (C); E-15; E-30 dan E-60 masing-masing diberi aquadest 2ml; MBM 0,15ml/kgBB; 0,30ml/kgBB dan 0,60ml/kgBB selama menjalani program latihan selama satu bulan. Pengukuran SGOT dan SGPT dilakukan setelah tikus melakukan aktifitas fisik maksimal. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kadar SGOT adalah 871,75±65,11; 407,75±6,06; 303,75±6,01; 220,50±8,55 IU/L dan kadar SGPT 170,62±7,48; 101,75±3,69; 72,75±4,89; 52,25±3,37 IU/L. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan terjadi penurunan kadar SGOT dan SGPT akibat pemberian MBM. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah pemberian MBM memiliki efek hepatoprotektif pada tikus yang melakukan aktifitas fisik maksimalKata kunci: Minyak buah merah, Aktifitas fisik maksimal, SGPT, Antioksidan
