EXPOSICIÓN BIOACUMULATIVA A METALES PESADOS EN GAMBUSIA PUNCTATA Y GAMBUSIA PUNCTICULATA DEL ECOSISTEMA ALMENDARES, LA HABANA-CUBA

Abstract

El objetivo de la presente investigación fue evaluar la exposición bioacumulativa a metales pesados en Gambusia punctata y Gambusia puncticulata del ecosistema Almendares en La Habana, Cuba. El estudio se realizó en dos estaciones correspondientes a la parte baja de la cuenca hidrográfica durante mayo y noviembre del 2015. Se determinaron en ambos sexos y a nivel del organismo, concentraciones de cobre, plomo, zinc y cadmio. Los individuos seleccionados se encontraron en el intervalo de clase de longitud entre 2,5-3,1cm. La determinación de metales pesados se realizó por mezcla de digestión ácida, cuantificándose los elementos mediante Espectrometría de Emisión por Plasma Inductivamente Acoplado con Vista Axial (ICP-AES). El plomo fue el único elemento que no superó el valor establecido por la norma regulatoria utilizada. Se encontró diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre el número de individuos por especies, así como en las concentraciones de cobre, zinc y cadmio entre el sexo, especies, mes y estaciones, siendo las hembras las que más bioconcentraron. Se concluye que el ecosistema Almendares, presenta condiciones ambientales de exposición biodisponible para metales pesados, debido a que en ambas especies de Gambusia existió bioacumulación.
