Introduksjon: Den nye verden: USAs illiberale utenrikspolitikk

Introduksjon: Den nye verden: USAs illiberale utenrikspolitikk

Abstract

Abstract in EnglishIntroduction: The New World: USA's Illiberal Foreign PolicyThis introductory essay is a first attempt at a contemporary history attempting to explain how and why the post-World War II bipartisan foreign policy consensus in the United States unraveled. It locates Donald Trump as a symptom, rather than a primary cause, of this unraveling, placing Trump and the MAGA movement in the larger context of American political development. The main argument is that Trump represents a reaction to the liberal aspects of modern American political development, both domestically and internationally.
