Interinstitusjonal samhandling ved høyskoler

Authors: Bergh Johan;

Interinstitusjonal samhandling ved høyskoler

Abstract

This chapter consists of two main parts. Firstly, the reflective empiricism has its origins in my own personal experiences over pedagogical and didactical praxis. This is therefore primary knowledge. That is, my own experiences and knowledge, a result of what I have seen, felt, understood and done. The purpose of the chapter is to investigate if there exists a unified view of, wishes for, or understanding of the concept of “samhandling” (interaction) between departments at a university college. In this case, Oslo New University College (ONH). The chapter concerns also how the post-pandemic reality affects both the understanding of and the exercise of interinstitutional interaction and learning. The research method is a combination of reflective practice research and interviews with the management at ONH, i.e., combined methods. In the chapter’s second main part, additional empiricism is collected through in-depth interviews in order to highlight eventual practical and theoretical implications. Through the interviews it has emerged that ONH as a relatively young institution is working targeted to improve and ensure the quality of a number of interaction and learning processes. ONH is well under way towards a new, improved organizational didactic reality in line with the original meaning of the concept. Even if the outer empirical evidence basis is only collected from one institution, the results may still have transferrable value, e.g. in light of both knowledge and practice improvement at academic institutions.
