Tratamiento en agua termal de esclerosis múltiple

Abstract

A traves de este estudio demuestro la relevancia de utilizar a la hidroterapia en termas para los tratamientos en Esclerosis Multiple con el aprovechamiento de la hipogravidez, la presion hidrostatica, la temperatura adecuada del agua, y con compuestos minerales posibles de utilizar. Si bien la esclerosis multiple puede manifestarse diversas formas e ir cursando diferentes etapas, la hidroterapia es una herramienta de gran valor al tomar como punto de partida al principio de flotacion, a traves del cual se pueden trabajar musculos debiles fomentando la marcha. Esto es de gran importancia en los estadios donde se pierde la posibilidad de deambular y con ello la posicion ortostatica. Se trabaja simultaneamente el retorno venoso y el sistema linfatico por la presencia de la presion hidrostatica. Utilizando diferentes tecnicas especificas y considerando la temperatura del agua, es que se trabaja la relajacion apuntando a disminuir la espasticidad. La dosificacion del ejercicio tanto en tiempo como en intensidad, la temperatura del agua y el estado en que se encuentre el paciente (brote/remision) daran la clave para el manejo de la fatiga. Es importante los aportes que brinda al organismo los diferentes componentes minerales que pueden tener las diferentes aguas termales para la aplicacion segun el estadio de la patologia. Conclusion: la hidroterapia es una herramienta importantisima en la rehabilitacion, donde se pueden observar resultados a corto plazo, mejoras en el desenvolvimiento de las AVD, el equilibrio, el estado general tanto fisico como psicologico. Es un excelente complemento kinesico.
