Análisis y propiedades salutíferas de las aguas minero-medicinales termales de Alhama de Murcia

Abstract

Introduccion: Alhama de Murcia cuenta con una dilatada historia de tradicion de aguas minero-medicinales. Durante mas de dos mil anos se les han dado uso con fines tanto sanadores como ludicos, asi como para el abastecimiento de la agricultura y ganaderia. La Region de Murcia dispone de un gran potencial en cuanto a aguas para usos balnearios y terapeuticos se refiere y goza de una larga tradicion en el aprovechamiento de estas aguas que se remonta, como minimo, a la epoca de dominacion romana; muestra de ello son los hallazgos en el area de Alhama de Murcia, Archena y Fortuna. El caso del agua termal de Alhama de Murcia es un claro ejemplo de sincretismo cultural que ha generado diversos modelos arquitectonicos e identidades que han tenido en comun el objetivo del aprovechamiento de este recurso natural desde hace mas de dos mil anos.
