Balneario y alimentación

Abstract

EnglishNutrition may be one more tool within the set of treatments that are established in health resort medicine due to the characteristics of the type of patients that go to them. Care in the forms of cooking of foods, as well as the use of simple and ancestral and hypocaloric diets can be important in the aging.Through food we can treat or prevent various diseases, hence the importance of relating it to spas, since the majority of patients who use thermal treatments, in addition to various pathologies such as; rheumatological, respiratory, dermatological and stress conditions also present a series of chronic diseases, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia. In neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, changes in food can also be made, thus helping to prevent their progression and maintain a better quality of life. We can teach our users the importance of eating a healthy and balanced diet to help them fight these diseases or conditions, making a series of changes in their diet by suppressing or increasing some nutrients, incorporating antioxidant foods into the diet. Thus helping to prevent disease. In this way we are using all the strategies we have. Overweight and obesity closely related to chronic conditions and currently a major cardiovascular risk factor can also be contemplated in a thermal resort medicine, combining thermal treatments with a suitable and adjusted diet, prior design, to their energy needs and pathology of base.
