Manganeso oligoelemento esencial

Abstract

Como ocurre con los otros oligoelementos esenciales, se desconoce mucho sobre el manganeso. No existen estudios suficientemente extensos ni concluyentes para deducir al menos el rango de niveles "normales" en un individuo sano y, sin embargo, vemos que tanto su carencia como su exceso dan patologia. El equilibrio homeostatico del manganeso debe estar sujeto a variaciones individuales geneticas, geograficas y etnicas que todavia desconocemos, pero que podrian ser el punto de partida para dar luz sobre el papel fisiologico del manganeso y deducir su interes y utilidad clinicas.
