Abstract

Un tema tan elemental en metrología como es el de las unidades de medida,causa todavía estragos. Los programas de metrificación en los EstadosUnidos avanzan a pasos agigantados; sin embargo, ¿qué podrá pasar con lospaíses en vías de desarrollo cuando Estados Unidos cambie la infraestructurade producción al sistema métrico? Se comentan situaciones en Colombia, parareflexionar en las organizaciones, especialmente en la academia para la educaciónmetrológica.
