Abstract

The tutorial deals with for adjustable electric drives production mechanisms, direct and alternating current and their applications. Much attention is paid to AC-drives with frequency regulation. Considered the most promising electric drive control system of industrial and mining mechanisms in which pre-emption is the use of frequency-regulated electric drive on the basis of induction, synchronous and switched-reluctance machines. Considered low - and medium voltage variable frequency drives to control AC motors. The textbook is designed for undergraduate students enrolled in field of study 13.03.02 "power engineering and electrical engineering", graduate students enrolled in field of study 13.04.02 "power and electrical engineering" and students ' specialist areas of training 21.05.04.
