Abstract

炎症に関与するインターロイキン (IL) であるIL1α, IL1β およびIL6のヒト炎症歯肉組織における局在状況を解明するために, ヒト炎症歯肉組織について抗ヒトIL1α. IL1β ・IL6抗体を用いた免疫組織化学的検索を行った。その結果, IL1α の局在は, 歯肉内縁側, すなわちポケット上皮または口腔歯肉溝上皮, および接合上皮と, それら上皮下の結合組織に浸潤する好中球・マクロファージに見いだされた。IL1β もIL1α とほぼ同様の局在を示した。なお, 上皮と上皮下の炎症細胞では各IL1の陽性反応強度にそれぞれ違いが認められ, IL1α は上皮に, IL1β は炎症細胞により強い反応を呈した。IL6染色では, IL1陽性部位に加え, 形質細胞と形質細胞に隣接する細胞にも陽性所見が見られた。歯周炎の際に著明な組織変化が生じる歯肉内縁側にIL1α, IL1β およびIL6の主たる局在が見られたことから, これらILを介した組織反応が歯周炎に関与する可能性が示唆された。
