Abstract

Il campo di significati che ha orientato il ricorso al termine dispositivo all’interno della ricerca muove da una riflessione molto diffusa, riferita all’accezione originaria del termine messa a punto da Focault nel 1977. Il dispositivo è definito come un insieme eterogeneo, composto da discorsi, istituzioni, strutture architettoniche, decisioni regolative, leggi, misure amministrative, enunciati scientifici, proposizioni filosofiche, morali, filantropiche ecc., cioè sia da elementi discorsivi che non. Contemporaneamente un dispositivo è anche la rete che si stabilisce fra gli elementi, fra i quali ci sono continui cambi di posizione e modifiche di funzioni.I Pontili, in questa ricerca, sono stati intesi come dispositivi della connessione e dello scambio, generatori di narrazioni aperte e di attività molteplici legate ai contesti. Ma questo, nello spazio urbanizzato romano, comporta il superamento di molti ostacoli, in forma di barriere-muri-fratture, materiali e immateriali. La progressiva insularizzazione di territori e ecosistemi coinvolge anche le comunità locali, che si trovano spesso imprigionate, limitate nelle possibilità di movimento e più in generale di accesso democratico alle cosiddette “opportunità” della vita urbanizzata.
