Abstract

Nuevos enfoques conceptuales y metodologicos convierten el libro Geopolitica del siglo XXI: el factor asiatico en un aporte academico a la comprension del curso del sistema internacional, en sus fases recientes y en los escenarios de mas probable ocurrencia a lo largo del presente siglo. El autor considera que los equilibrios en el poder regional inciden en la estructura del poder global, pero solo en la medida que sobre ellos reposa la competencia estrategica de la esfera superior, que los determina. La obra fue elaborada con base en la observacion y analisis sistematicos del cambio en las relaciones politicas y de poder en Asia, y su repercusion en la dinamica geopolitica mundial contemporanea.
